- To say that it is really hot out
- I can’t handle this heat. It’s hotter than hell out there today.
- There’s no way I’m turning the oven on today. It’s hotter than hell in here.
You can cook an egg on the sidewalk
- It is so hot outside that I could cook an egg on the sidewalk instead of on the stove.
- I’m not going outside. You can cook an egg on the sidewalk with this heat.
- It’s so hot out you can cook an egg on the sidewalk.
I’m on fire
- An expression to day that I am really hot.
- I’m on fire. I need a cold drink
- Lucy wants to go swimming. She’s on fire.
It’s an oven
- It’s really hot
- This house is so hot it’s like an oven in here.
- It’s an oven out there today. Make sure you use sun screen.
